Quick Access/ Windows File Explorer slow/non-functional on Windows 10
You click on Windows File Explorer and you see none of the usual PC locations and Quick Access shows a “working” status.
To fix do the following:
1. Run the “Command Prompt” app as an administrator. You can find the app (black icon with a C:) on it in the Start menu or for searching for “Command” in the search bar.
2. Once you are able to run the app type in the following and hit “Enter”:
del /F /Q %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations
3. Close all instances of the File Explorer and launch it once more.
You should now see all your PC drives and locations.
